Apparently the six extra Merlin helicopters being rushed to Afghanistan will lack armour plating and therefore not be available for assault missions - no problem, I suggest they are reserved for visiting politicians and diplomats.

	guest commented... Well at least that will give the Afghani civilians more of chance to fight back when their weddings and funerals are bombed! As it is their odds are rather worse than a David vs Goliath scenario. Perhaps this will encourage the men to question the validity of their presence and actions out there...
